Congratulations, Mark. I loved the music and the innocence of the lyrics. It took me back to the early sixties.

Thanks, K.C. I was going for an early 60s kind of mood. 🤓

Thank you, Justin. Songwriting is a type of writing I really enjoy. Like microfition, you try to say a lot without using a lot of words.

Nice lyrics. In a way they remind me of Bus Stop, by The Hollies: https://youtu.be/oSprHUjAFK8?si=XrTZQTkkiD_ZNG3p

Excellent catch, Terry. That was my inspiration for the song. I have always loved Bus Stop and wanted to write something similar. Steal from the best. 🤣

I have now listened to it as well. A very fitting response to Bus Stop IMO. Well done, Sir. What's the other instrument? Is it an organ, or a flue-type instrument?

A Melodica. Which is a wind instrument with a keyboard. It is essentially a harmonica with a keyboard. It sounds similar to an accordian or organ.

I used to have one! Taught myself to play it. I loved it. It sounded really good on that recording.

If you are familiar with Bus Stop, Subway Train definitely shows its inspiration. I just set it forty years later, in a different city, and underground. 🤣

Thanks, C.L.. I enjoy playing melodica on this one with my band.
