The music makes me think of a city montage (might be subliminal cues from the photo). What did your wife (I assume you played it for her) think of the music + poetry?
My wife (and family) shows little interest in my writing or music. Although she does come to most of my gigs and seems to enjoy them. And she likes my new acoustic trio. She also gets this newsletter, but she rarely comments on it.
Which is fair. I am not very interested in her hobbies either. 🤣
No no, because I checked just two days ago, and a quick check now shows... “Update” button in the now-visible iPad app. 🤨 And yup, it updated to the same version as the iOS app. Alrighty then! 🙄 Thanks, Mark!
🤣 I have been a beta tester for a month. I am enjoying having all my Substack newsletters together and easily accessed. No scrolling through promotional email to find them. And archiving the newsletters I read so my inbox feed is just unread newsletters is a nice feature. So is the ability to comment in the app. Although you still can’t edit comments in the app. But I am sure that will come in time. I like getting notifications of new newsletters and comments also. 🙂
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed this!
Thanks, Justin. I appreciate it. 😀
Mark, I would pay for an album of music like this! Maybe you should find a way to make it available for purchase! (Hint. Hint.)
Thanks for the kind words, Dascha. 😀🥰
You can listen to the whole album for free on Soundcloud.

But if you are determined to pay for the privilege, you can buy a digital version on Bandcamp for $7.

But you might want to listen to the whole thing first. There is a bit of variety. It is not all as mellow as Nice Evening. 🙂
Just bought it. Listening now, though I won't have time to listen to all of it before my D&D game starts.
Awesome. Thanks, Dascha! Enjoy your D&D game. The album can wait. 🤣
Well done, Mark! I was never more than a noodler. And chords eluded me. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks, John. I still do a lot of noodling on guitar. 🤣
Really like the poem, Mark! I’m a sucker for romance!
Thanks, Jack. Me too.

Gail Boenning put me on to the new Substack iPhone app. I like it. Hope they roll out an iPad app — I do most reading (like now!) on my iPad.
There is an iPad app. I am using it right now. 🙂
Search for Substack Reader.
