Thanks, Sharron. As a novice writer when I started book one, I wanted to tell the story from Britpop's viewpoint (first person.) I felt it would allow me to share his thoughts. Then as the book progressed I realized Britpop couldn't tell the secondary storyline in which he was not present, so I had another character tell that portion of the story.
I enjoyed the idea of multiple first-person accounts and have no qualms about having any of the characters narrate a portion of the story. Third-person would probably have been easier and more "proper writing." But what does a 18th century blacksmith know about novel writing? About as much as I did when I started. 🤣
I don't mind breaking "rules." It's not like I'm chasing a publishing deal. Although I am open to offers for television series based on the books. 🤓
That's the dream, isn't it? I always imagine my longer stories as television episodes/series or movies while writing them. I think I might be more excited by a television series deal than a book deal. Mainly because I want to watch it! But both would be good. 🤣
Very clever the way you told this story from two points of view, Mark. The saga continues...
