I feel like there should have been some more direct foreshadowing that Elise does not like being disrespected as a business person. Maybe being a bit huffier with the Duke, then apologizing?

These are two characters with strong wills and emotions. There will be quick, intense clashes. We really know very little about Elise at this point. And Britpop is learning the hard way.
