Haven't thought of string phones in a long long time 🤔 I wonder how many youngsters would have a clue about one, then again smart phones 🥸

Beautiful poem, those of us that have a marriage that lasts know the canvas well ❤️😍😍❤️

Will this chance be the break for both? Stay tuned for the next instalment 🤔.

Aww. Thank you, Claire. I am never sure about posting "serious" things. But they usually do well. I am thrilled that you like it.

Brandon and Isaac continue on Monday? Oh goodie!

I didn't know you wrote poetry, Mark. Your sweet piece, Love is a Canvas, was perfect for a quiet rainy morning. Thank you.

Thanks, Sharon. I have written about a dozen "serious" poems (lots of silly ones.) I wanted to see if I could. I don't expect to become a poet, but I do love writing a variety of things. Which should be obvious after you have read my newsletter a while. 🤣 I enjoy trying new things. I would be bored to death writing only one topic or genre. 🤓

“Love is the Canvas” is such a beautiful and touching poem. It perfectly captures the journey of marriage. It might be one of my all-time favorites of yours (of the more serious variety).

Great stuff all around, Mark!

Thanks, Justin. Every once in a while I write a serious poem. I am glad you enjoyed it. I think you get some perspective when you have been married for four decades. 😉

I enjoyed this. Most of my friends are musicians, and many have moved to Nashville.

That poem... this line--"We painted life, images we would leave behind." It's an idea I believe: We CREATE our lives.

Nashville is where most musicians go now.

We can't control everything but we certain create a large portion of our lives.

Thanks!

You're the best! I will send you a pic if you'd like after she does her thing. I also wanted to put your name as the author on it if that is okay.

Okay. Love is the canvas officially made me cry. I hope you wrote that about your marriage. It certainly is a reflection of mine. My daughter is an artist and caligrapher. I would love for her to put this on canvas to hang in our house. May I have your permission to do that?

Thank you, Cyn. Yes, it is based on my marriage. I would be honored to have it displayed in your home. Thanks.
