Thank you, Sharron. I truly appreciate regular readers. So does Britpop! I see you commenting all over the place on Substack. Either we read a lot of the same things or you just read a lot! I am guessing it is the later.
I need to speed up my game on Britpop. I would like to finish this book so I can get back to writing Space Traveler Fargone. I enjoy writing his character (and Emma) and making up new worlds for them to explore.
I only subscribe to 16 writers, but we have almost all of them in common. I comment a lot, as I like the interaction with like minds, AND because I have gained a lot of subscribers who found me through my comments. It takes time away from my writing, but it is worth it.
I agree with all your points. I comment because I like getting them (comments are like applause to me), so I know they make writers feel appreciated. And sometimes the comments are better than the stories they follow.
I keep trying to pare my subscribe-to list down but it is futile. I keep finding more newsletters I want to read. Which is ridiculous because I don't have time to read them all. So I flit around and miss a lot. Having just a few would be better. I guess I need to get ruthless and unsubscribe, unsubscribe, unsubscribe... Yeah, right! 🤣
Enjoying each new chapter, Mark. I would love to be there for the waffles!
Best waffles in Kapri. 🤓
