Music may not be classified as a language, per se, but it definitely speaks. It shouts, whispers, rages, soothes, excites! Every emotion humanly possible can be expressed in music. Don't you think?

I totally agree. Music is emotion translated into sound. There is nothing else quite like it. To me it’s magic.

I never had the discipline to learn how to play a musical instrument, let alone learn how to read and write music. I agree that music is a language. So is mathematics. I'm pretty illiterate there, too.

Yes, you have to really want to play an instrument to put in the countless hours required to get good at it. But it is worth it.

I made it to Algebra 2 in High School, and my math knowledge ended there.

I never got beyond the bare essentials when I started learning the accordion when I was a wee fellow. But I love music, especially classical music. It hits me somewhere beyond intelligence.
