New Years Resolution? What is that? 🤷🙀⛷️🚴‍♂️🏕️

A silly game delusional people play. 😉

I don't make New Year's resolutions, per se, but I am constantly making resolutions throughout the year of various scopes and sizes. New Year's is more about letting go for me than undertaking something new.

Anyway, Happy New Year, Mark!

Letting some things go is a great way to start the year. Happy New Year T. 🤓

I don't make resolutions either. I have goals I'd like to achieve, but they are flexible because life will be life. If I get a few done then that's something at least.

That is a good strategy. 🤓

You'd be like Elvis: "I forgot to remember to forget her..."

It is getting more common with age. 🤣

I put my "goals" for 2025 in a sealed envelope and will not be sharing them publicly. Maybe I'm more likely to accomplish them if I conveniently forget what they were to begin with and I don't have anyone else counting on me to reach them. We'll see!!!

Happy New Year, Mark!

Nice. I keep mine in a Note on my phone. I need the reminder! 🤣

Plus I learned the hard way not to share plans publically. It is like Kryptonite for success. 🙄🤓

I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions because they often set us up for failure. Instead, I see a new year as an opportunity to gain a fresh perspective—whether it’s improving something in life, learning something new, or exploring enjoyable experiences I’ve never had the chance to try. Life changes day by day, so rather than rigid resolutions, I prefer embracing growth and possibilities as they come. 🎉Happy New Year 2025 Mark🥳

I completely agree. Resolutions are recipes for failure. Better to look for opportunities.

I don't do them either, but like you, I do have goals and aspirations! Happy 2025!

Great minds... 🤣

Happy New Year, KIm.

This year I haven't really planned any resolutions or goals either. I have ideas and thoughts but nothing definite yet. Happy New Year Mark.

Ideas are the start of something great. Happy New Year, Pennie.

Nope, no resolutions. No new ones, anyway. I’m sticking to what I decided in 2019, when I retired from the workforce: I will be the best Deb’s Husband ever. I like doing it, and it fits in with my other plans anyway.

Well, that is a fine goal. Carry on. 🤓

A few years back I came across the idea of selecting a guiding word for the year.

This year… inspired by the film Ratatouille I choose: BOLD

“Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great.” ~ Chef Gasteau — Ratatouille

:)

Let’s shine our little lights into the darkness.

I love this idea!

Agreed.

Good idea. A guiding word is better than a resolution. And more likely to be successful. 🤓
