I agree! There was actually some newsletter study done at some point that showed people are more likely to read an article if it’s in the email itself. No matter how long it is. And anecdotally I rarely click ☺️
Thanks, Dascha. Story links are a staple of newsletters, but I think including a shorter story in its entirety is a better option for this type of newsletter. Don't worry, I won't include any 20-minute stories. 🤣
I vote for including the stories in the newsletter, Mark. Usually when I click through, I find that I have already read it; seems like a waste of time to swap apps on a slow iPad. But if it is already in the newsletter then hey, why not read it?
Good point. Some of the "old-timers" on Medium (like me) may remember some of these stories. So it will be easy to skip them if they are in the newsletter. Or read them again!
Also I loved those stories!!!
Thanks, Elle. That makes my day. 😀

That appears to be the consensus. I think I will adopt that policy. (Trying out my manager writing voice.) 😉
Thanks, Elle.
Another great issue, Mark. In response to your question, I like one-stop shopping. I would prefer the stories within the newsletter itself.

Yup. I'm just commenting on my own laziness.

Thanks for the input, Jack.
