Captain, thinking: Our cook can take the most expensive ingredients and turn them into crap. Somebody else in the galley can only make life better.
I was wondering when you were writing this story. Were you thinking about eating peanut butter, but then as I read the story, it brought me to the pigeons, and then I thought well maybe a stool pigeon uses the peanut butter to shut them up, and then you brought me back to my childhood where my father raised messaging pigeons. Thanks, Coleen. The name Captain Peanut Butter goes way back to when my daughters were little. One day as we were riding in the car, one of them kept saying, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy." I replied, "I am not Daddy, I am Captain Peanut Butter!" Just spur of the moment goofiness. But the name stuck with me.
Around 2018, I started writing funny saying on Facebook that I credited to Captain Peanut Butter. That lead me to think about writing a novel about Captain Peanut Butter. It is a long story that I posted on Medium when I was writing the first novel. I need to bring it over to Substack. Thanks for the reminder.

The Captain grunted. “You might as well dream of a ship that sails underwater.” ha ha ha! And BTW, good Andelbert is invited to bake bread for me anytime.

🤣 Yup. That was all probably going on in the Captain's head. He only says what is necessary.
