Verse 1:
If you drop a quarter in the middle of the ocean
Just let it go
If you’re spinning by a rope in centrifugal motion
Just let it go
Chorus:
It ain’t worth the trouble
It ain’t worth the pain
Don’t make a bad thing double
Don’t drive yourself insane
Verse 2:
If you drop your watch out of an airplane window
Just let it go
If you drop your wallet in the mouth of a volcano
Just let it go
Repeat Chorus
It ain’t worth the trouble
It ain’t worth the pain
Don’t make a bad thing double
Don’t drive yourself insane
Verse 3:
If you’re dragging down the street hanging from a car bumper
Just let it go
If you get on Jeopardy and the answer is a stumper
Just let it go
Repeat Chorus
It ain’t worth the trouble
It ain’t worth the pain
Don’t make a bad thing double
Don’t drive yourself insane
I wrote this simple song in 2012 for my beginning guitar students so they could practice its simple chord changes. I added doodles many years later. Someday, I might record it.
Thanks for reading and responding. You make it fun.
Mark
Would be a great music video with the doodles!
That is undoubtedly the best song you ever wrote. Such good advice. So many things could be added .. When your hair starts falling out, let it go. When your chin begins to sag, let it go. If you find kale disgusting, let it go..... I'm going to be thinking about this all damn day. Nice job, Mark
