Wow, a Time Storm!!!

And, I love-love-love a decent cherry pie. I'll have to go to the store tomorrow and buy one. :-)

I Wish I Had A Box - “So you want a pie?” “No, sir, I want a box. A very tasty, cherry filled box. I’m still on a diet, I swear.”

Retirement - Wood doesn’t grow on trees. Just like money!

Stranded On A Deserted Island • Part 5 - More time travel! Oh boy, if they were worried about being kept prisoner by the government before, they’ll REALLY have to worry about it now that they’ve brought an iPhone to 1976!

I thought cherry pie was a diet food. 🤣

Time travel is always complicated. 😬

I am enjoying this adventure. My friend Pennie R. S. Nelson shared this on her page so I had to check it out. Thanks to you both for giving the rest of us good things to read.

Wow, Stranded On A Deserted Island is awesome. I knew exactly where you were going when you wrote that "the lieutenant twitched a little in surprise" after seeing the Iphone wake up. Great story so far Mark. Question for you though... Each week when writing this, do you have it planned or do you go with whatever comes to mind?

Thanks, Pennie. I wrote it while ago. I originally was going to just do the first part. Then a writer friend said I should have made Jake suffer more. 🤣 So I decided to make it into a serial. I basically made it up as I went along writing each part in one sitting. I don't remember how I got the Amelia Earhart idea. But once I had that it became obvious that it was a time-travel adventure. I like writing serials. I think it keeps people wanting more. Rather than posting a 20 or 30-minute-read story all at once.

Thanks for replying back. I too enjoy writing serials and I sit and just let whatever comes to my mind at the time and fit it in. Much of the time I don't have anything planned, I just write it. It is amazing how a creative mind can come up with good material in just a short time. I still sometimes like to write short story thrillers though. I have a Valentine's day short story thriller that I will post tomorrow. Looking forward to your next chapter next week.

Sometimes I outline and sometimes time I wing it. 🤓

I've never been good at outlining.

I usually only outline on novels or novellas. But I will write down ideas on longer stories.

“I Wish I Had a Box” — wait, didn’t they used to sell these at McDonalds? 🤨

SOADI Pt5 — I was getting ready to tell you Navy ships have global sat communications when you made that part of your reveal. 🙂 Then the last line had me flashing on “Rocky Horror Picture Show” — “let’s do the time storm again!” So now you’ll have to jump to the future? No, we didn’t have a carrier disappear in the 1970s... 🤔

Pie in a box at McDonalds. What could be better?

All the navy stuff comes from me watching movies, not real experience, like you! 🤣

I love the song idea!

How do you know a carrier didn't disappear in the 70s? Unless you were on it. I doubt they would tell anyone. 😉

Great story continues. I told you a while back I thought I knew what was coming and the way it is going is close to what I thought. What I have no idea about is the monkey. Cannot wait to see what happens there.

Thanks, Scott. My guess is Cheetah, still back on the island, got hit by the time storm and went back to the 1930s where he started a film career. Or maybe he started a bamboo bowling alley for shipwrecked humans. Or he raised a family of singing monkeys who toured the Pacific islands. Or...
