A fun read as always, Mark. Switching from a limo to a garbage truck--what a hoot. The rap wasn't bad. I could relate.

I can't stop the rhyme. It ain't no crime. It was quite the adventure. A real soul quencher.

Thanks, K.C.

-"I had to give him my Bachman-Turner Overdrive II 8-track before he would agree to be my friend again." Those guys came from Winnipeg, my home town.

-"you are going to have to put this bag over your head.” In the 1950s Russian dissident Igor Gouzenko escaped to Canada with many classified documents. He occasionally appeared on television but with his face disguised by a sort of bag that seemed to be made from a flour sack so that nobody would recognize him and cause him to be deported back.

Randy Bachman was my first guitar hero.

I knew I felt like a spy for a reason.

Thanks, David.

This was fantastic, Mark! I LOL'd several times. And who would have thought a garbage truck could be a cool ride?

Omg, I'm crying over here! That was so good, I laughed out loud, and I'm feeling crappy today! What a pick-me-up, and I can so relate. My youngest is something of a rap lover, he once had a small band, played music and had a following, if you count me and my bestie! Anyway, I gotta share this with him, but I'll have to beg him to read it. He's so darn busy these days with REAL work. Poor kid, he shoulda been a rap star.

Thanks, Kim. He should try again. I think I proved that it's never too late to become a rap star. 😉

I hope you feel better soon.

Didn't you star in "Almost Famous"? 🤣 Sweet story. My middle daughter and her husband had a gig with Investigation Discovery until Covid hit, Director and Re-creation producer. Another casualty of mad, evil scientists.

Covid killed a lot of careers along with humans. Fortunately I had my writing career to fall back on. (Cough.) 🤣
