A fellow Michigander!! I grew up in Lansing. I have an uncle living on Pontiac Trail in the Ann Arbor area. When my daughter was in high school she wanted to learn how to play the guitar. We got her one but before she really had a chance to learn how to play she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She had 3 years of radiation and chemo but was left with a lot of problems and never was able to play it anymore. She wasn't expected to survive but she did. That was almost 25 years ago. Now we spend most of our time playing board games and working jigsaw puzzles. We listen to the music channel when we do so we can sing along. She still has the guitar even though she can't play it anymore.
Wondering where that additional creativity comes from, Mark! Bring out the guitars! 🎸
I grew up in Ypsilanti. Then lived in Belleville and Canton before moving to North Carolina.
Guitars make good wall decorations also. 🤓

Your journey from a curious child to a passionate guitar player is as inspiring as the music you create.👍🏻
I won’t be unsubscribing. I used to play bluegrass banjo (and even played a few gigs in bars!) before my body decided to start giving up on me. My husband is - yes I’m biased but it’s also true - an incredible guitarist. This is him: https://m.soundcloud.com/user-634231568/watchtower-the-globe-sept-20-08092020-2203
A fun addition, Mark! Looking forward to listening to you and your band. 🎶
I like it Mark! I checked out your band videos too. Very cool!
"Girls play the flute?" There are quite a few male flautists who would disagree with that.
