Perfect photo and ending. Sqeaky toy. Leave it to Mark to come up with that one. How often do we mistake the benign for a threat? We are encouraged to fear everything these days.

I do think many politicians trade in fear. "Vote for me or my opponent will..."

However, I think I went a little too far out there with this story. What I had imagined was badgers playing with the dogs' squeaky toy, and the one dog wanting to fight them to get it back. Perhaps I should have said dobermans instead of badgers. But I like the idea of him imagining the squeaky toy as his enemies.

I think I will add "Let them keep it" at the end to make it clearer.

Who couldn't name THAT movie!? Those words are hilarious coming from the wee terriers! They do have brave hearts, though, those ankle-biters.

Anyone under 30 may not be aware of it. 😂 It was the plaid doggie jackets and the look in the one's eyes that triggered the movie for me.
