The Band Audition
Three-Line Conversations
“It is a nice bell. What do you think, Shawn?”
“Well, we could use a B flat. What do you think, Patty?”
“He’s got the look. Alright, kid. Show us what you got.”
Strange Vacation Memories
My family and I went to Hawaii in 1973. We were at a luau when, unexpectedly, Elvis Presley showed up with his entourage. Elvis said he wanted to sing a song and then went on to sing an extremely long version of My Way. At least, it seemed that way, as I was only 12 and very hungry at the time.
Afterward, his crew picked up the pig, and they left. My mother started to cry. I said, "That's alright, Mama. I saw a McDonalds down the street."
Good times.
The Sporty Life
Three-Line Conversations
“My back hurts. When does the fun part start?”
“Come on. Isn’t it beautiful out here?”
“It would be just as beautiful in a speedboat.”
Rain
A Rumination
I believe for every drop of rain that falls,
a cloud gets one drop lighter.
Keep Fighting
No matter how many times you get knocked down.
No matter how many times you get the wind knocked out of you.
No matter how many times you end up flat on your back.
No matter how many times you lose a fight.
No matter how many times you get hit in the head with a chair.
Never give up on your dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
Happy Monday. Thanks for reading and responding. You make it fun.
Mark
“I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a cloud gets one drop lighter” would be a great desk sign, Mark. Possibly for a CPA.
Very cool Elvis story, Mark.
