I always spelled it "dialog," but a search says that spelling is for computing: "Dialog boxes." English is weird. But I like dialog better. Sort of the doughnut/donut thing. Being a minimalist (😉), I prefer using fewer letters.
Prehaps it is a British (Canadian) vs American English thing?
