Redbone is a band comprised of Native Americans. It was formed in the 1970s by two brothers, Patrick and Candido “Lolly” Vasquez-Vegas. The group chose the name Redbone, which is a Cajun term for a mixed-race person, to honor their mixed Yaqui, Shoshone, and Mexican heritage.
