Tony “Knuckles” Fettuccine and Mario “Brains” Linguine had stuffed the body of Bobby “Jackpot” Roulette in the trunk of Bobby’s orange Fiat 500 D. It was tight, but Mario managed to slam the hood closed. Mario drove the Fiat to the cliff at the edge of town. Tony followed in his blue Alfa Romeo Giulia Super.
“I can’t get the hood open,” Mario said.
“You shouldn’t have slammed it,” Tony replied.
“Thanks for the tip, Knucklehead.”
“It’s Knuckles, not Knucklehead. What are we gonna do? We gotta make it look like Bobby drove off the cliff, or The Boss is gonna be mad. I don’t like it when The Boss gets mad. Like last week, when we…”
“Shut up, and get the crowbar out of your car.”
Hey gang. I’m back with another extra story. I wanted to get back to writing some prompted microfiction, so I visited my old pal, Justin, at Along The Hudson. He regularly posts 50-word microfiction prompts. His latest prompt is:
Prompt: Write a fifty-word story (fiction, poem, or work of CNF) that involves a make or model of a vehicle, as well as its color.
I came up with an idea for a silly mob story but couldn’t whittle it down to 50 words. So here it is. All 133 words of it.
If you enjoy short fiction, I recommend Along The Hudson.
You always impress me with how you can write these stories so short, but completely get the point across...
I so love this and want more! GreT Job Mark thank you for sharing
