A Bad Library - Any library that wants to burn words into your retinas are secretly working with eyeglasses companies! Don’t trust them!

The Little-Known Story Of Ben Franklin’s Youth - I’m sure Benjamin “Runaway” Franklin didn’t do anything important as he got older.

My Grandfather Was A Famous Novelist - A notebook that automatically gives people ideas would be great for writer’s block!

Mark, I really enjoy the structure of this post. Thought, historical oddity, and fiction. It's like a little deconstructed writer's process salad, with a cool idea dressing to tie them all together. I dig it! Looking forward to reading more of your work. Semper Fidelis.

Library to Ben Franklin to Grandpa the writer... seems to be a theme here 🤔

I think I like the Idea book over getting your eyes burned at that "Library" 😜

Loved the Ben story, it coulda happened 🤣

The grandpa story was close to a story I wrote for The Drabblecast which was rejected as most of my stories are anywhere else...all publishers are monsters lol.

Loved the email post! The whimsical nature was just what I needed. What could have happened is not wise to base important decisions on, but it is still needed because it inspires and refreshes the spirit when life becomes stale.

Yeah... those old folks are so boring. Ho hum.... What could a 70- or 80- year-old possibly know that would be of interest to the young? I have a young niece that knows so much more than I do and is CONSTANTLY teaching me things I already know. I just nod and smile. But I am sending her your Ben Franklin story, with no comment.... Thanks, Mark!

Where were you ten years ago when I stumbled across that library?

I had a fleeting thought that the grandfather story had a factual basis. Then the story took (you should pardon the expression) a Mark Starlin turn... 😉

I have little idea how much of the Franklin story is true. I think I maybe read Ben’s bio in 4th grade? But I suspect it’s true-ish in a Starlinesque sort of way. 😁
