I like to think of my readers as my online friends. And since we are friends, I would like to get to know you a little better. So I am starting a series of Getting To Know You Thursdays Questions. I will simply ask a question, and you can answer it if you like. No obligation. I will answer it also. Then we will know each other a little better.
Some questions will be silly, and some will be serious. How you answer is up to you.
Here is today’s question.
Have you ever unexpectedly seen a wild animal that made you gasp? What was it?
My answer:
Godzilla. No doubt. Easy answer.
Actually, last year, my wife and I had a family of bighorn sheep cross the road right in front of us in Valley Of Fire, Nevada. That was unexpected. I made a short video of them. It is at the top.
If you are ever in Las Vegas, Valley Of Fire is about a 45-minute drive away. It is an amazing place with dramatic, colorful scenery unlike the usual brown and gray Nevada desert. Lots of amazing hikes. Some with petroglyphs.
But go early in the morning, before the desert heat kicks in.
